I bought this book for my 5th grade son who is interested in ongoing environmental issues. I absolutely could not be happier with this math/environmental workbook! First of all, I like the idea that you can learn recent environmental topics in math! I also like the fact that it covers the national math standards and challenges my son beyond the material he has mastered. This book covers a variety of environmental issues such as carbon dioxide emissions, global warming, waste problem, air pollution, endangered species, renewable energy, water conservation etc. I love that there is answer key in the back of the workbook. After checking a couple of quizzes together, my son started suggesting that we recycle more to reduce our waste! WOW! Many math quizzes with strong real-world connection.
